At the Wildflower Farm, we’ve made a New Year’s resolution that we are taking very seriously as we start 2017, and we’re offering a series of Vail winter gardening workshops to help us achieve it. Our resolution? To get YOU outside gardening this summer! That’s right: We are already getting excited about the warmer temperatures, longer days, bright colors, and fragrant smells that summer will bring to the Vail area, and we hope you will join us in that excitement!
Although we may not be able to put seeds in the ground until the snow melts and the soil defrosts, we can certainly start thinking about, learning about, and prepping for our beautiful summer landscapes. So to help us achieve our New Year’s resolution, the Wildflower Farm will be hosting a series of Vail gardening workshops for the community between January and April, exploring a range of fun, creative, and informative gardening topics to get YOU in the gardening mood.
In January, we will be hosting two fairy gardening workshops (Saturdays, January 14 and 28, 1:00-2:30pm). During these 90 minute workshops, we will be letting our imaginations run wild as we create our perfect fairy worlds. With miniature plants, furniture, garden accessories, and, of course, fairies, all participants will go home with a beautiful fairy garden to add some creative flare to their homes. The workshop cost is $25 per person and includes starter materials and instruction. Spaces are limited, so call us today at (970) 926-5504 to reserve your spot!
Other workshops to be held this winter include: Intro to Orchids, VermiComposting, and Terrarium Building. Stay tuned for dates and details on these workshops!
